Professional Development
Our professional development provides you with comprehensive support for your PLATO® implementation. Our service model is aligned to the National Staff Development Council standards, and the leading professional development principles by Software Information Industry Association (SIIA), as well as PLATO’s four decades in designing, implementing, and measuring professional development programs. Beginning with a dedicated planning resource to schedule and coordinate the entire process, a successful implementation that produces real results for you and your learners is our goal.
Our professional development model, which has enabled tens of thousands of successful implementations, consists of three components.
- Implementation Planning. Together we identify the objectives of the program and how PLATO solutions fit with student achievement goals. We also define roles and responsibilities, define the implementation timeline, plan for professional development, and discuss license management.
- On-site Professional Development and Implementation Consulting. Our education consultants are experienced educators, so they know the challenges you face. They will guide you through your implementation with personalized, on-site expertise. But more than that, they will ensure that your team is equipped with the tools and resources available to implement, manage, and measure your program.
- Implementation Review. Program evaluation occurs 90-120 days after your initial implementation to ensure that you are meeting your identified goals. We’ll work with you to analyze student report data and evaluate progress. Together we’ll define an action plan and identify next steps.
Of course, we will also work with you to design a customized professional development program to meet your unique needs.
