Understanding and relating to the world they live in is a critical element of being college and career ready. PLATO’s high school social studies offerings include online courses and curriculum covering history, geography, civics, government, economics, and global studies. Through the use of glossaries, chronologies, biographies, graphics, projects, and essays, PLATO’s social studies curriculum helps students think and write critically about the world they live in. Students are challenged to develop critical 21st century skills of communication and collaboration.
