PWLN/CHPWLN: Ending a User's Session (Forcing a User Off)
If you're a teacher or lab administrator, you know that if some learners do not log out properly, the following message will display the next time they try to log in:

Normally, learners can successfully log back in to the system by re-entering their password and then clicking the "Login" button. However, occasionally a learner will not be able to log back in again. When this happens, you can end the user's session by following the steps in article 27246 - PWLN: How to end a user's session (force a user off of PWLN).
PLATO® Pathways: "Director Player unable to open...Already open with write permission by another user"
When more than one learner is trying to launch lessons at the same time, a message similar to one of the following may display. The file name and location in the message may vary:
Director player unable to open f:\pway\cw\wasatch\prw_ad\level_A\a706\a706.dcr because it is already open with write permission by another user.
Director Player: Unable to open Q:\pway\CW\045\wpmx_vrc\dplayer.dcr - it is open w/write permission by another user.
To resolve these error messages, follow the steps in article 25784 - PW: Director Player unable to open...Already open with write permission by another user.
Get the latest upgrades for your PLATO® courseware
It's easy to lose track of what PLATO courseware you have and what upgrades are available. Are you running the latest versions of the courseware you have purchased? See 27807 - How to get the latest upgrades for your PLATO Pathways system and courseware.
If you have a PLATO Pathways Learning Management System and your support is current under the Software Support Plan (SSP), then you are entitled to the latest (current) versions of the courseware you have purchased.
