Achieve Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP)
Defining Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) and documenting the successful achievement of AYP goals can be difficult. These goals—as mandated by NCLB—are statistically complex as well as academically challenging.
A primary consideration for AYP-related assessments is the alignment of curriculum to standards to which students will be held accountable. The ability to monitor student progress toward AYP goals is also a key component of any software solution. Finally, a system that both aggregates and disaggregates data is necessary for the mandatory AYP reporting.
PLATO Learning offers a number of school improvement models that will help schools achieve the results needed to make AYP goals year after year.
